Kristina Kelly, DPT
Assistant Research Professor
Kristina Kelly, PT, DPT, MS, EdM, NCS, CPT, PES, is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri and a member of NextGen Precision Health. Trained at Boston University, the University of Vermont and Ohio State University, Dr. Kelly is a board-certified neurologic physical therapist and clinician-scientist specializing in adults with neuromuscular disorders. Her research program integrates translational physiology, rehabilitation science and clinical trials to better understand motor function, fatigue and mobility across aging and neuromuscular disease. Dr. Kelly’s work focuses on linking disease pathophysiology to clinically meaningful biomarkers, outcome measures and rehabilitation strategies. Using advanced neurophysiological and functional assessment approaches, she investigates mechanisms underlying motor impairment and evaluates exercise- and behavior-based interventions designed to preserve mobility, improve chronic disease management and enhance healthspan. Through collaborative, patient-centered research, Dr. Kelly aims to advance functional outcomes and quality of life for individuals living with neuromuscular disease.
